Day 2: Nairobi - Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, freshen up and check-out. Depart Nairobi and embark on the journey to Amboseli National Park. Crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, Amboseli is one of the elite parks in Kenya. The name Amboseli comes from a Maasai word meaning salty dust and is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close.

On a clear day, you will have a beautiful view of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest mountain. The land on which the park lies is a plain, flat land with numerous swamps that elephants love to go and cool off. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats, ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands.

Upon arrival at the camp, check-in and have lunch. Thereafter, have an afternoon game drive. Amboseli is home to a vast elephant population that will leave you in awe. Return to the camp, freshen up and relax.

Dinner & Overnight at the Camp / Lodge.

Day 3: Amboseli National Park

Wake up to a scrumptious breakfast. Freshen up and prepare for a full day of activities. Upon arrival at the park, adhere to the formalities and set off in search of the Mighty Jumbos. The park also has a diverse birdlife, as they are drawn to the grasslands and seasonal flood plains.

Have packed lunch in the wild and later proceed to a Maasai village. Unlike many other tribes in Kenya, the Maasai community are semi-nomadic pastoralists; they live by herding cattle and goats. Singing and dancing is also part of their daily life and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a memorable experience. Return to the camp and enjoy the hotel facilities.

Dinner & Overnight at the Camp / Lodge.

Day 4: Amboseli National Park - Tsavo West National Park

After breakfast, freshen up and check-out. Head for the Tsavo West National Park. Tsavo is made up of two separate parks; Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Park.

Tsavo West is more mountainous and wetter with features that include swamps, Lake Jipe, Poacher's Lookout, Mzima Springs, Shetani lava flow, open grasslands, scrublands, acacia woodlands, belts of riverine vegetation and rocky ridges.

Upon arrival at the camp, check-in and have lunch. Proceed to the Tsavo West National Park for an afternoon game drive. The park is home to a variety of wildlife such as the leopard, cheetah, buffalo, rhino, giraffe, lion, zebra, dik-dik and lesser kudu. Return to the camp and have dinner.

Dinner & Overnight at the Camp / Lodge.

Day 5: Tsavo West National Park

Have breakfast, freshen up and set off in search of the dust-red elephants. Later, proceed to the Mzima Springs, a series of four natural springs in the Tsavo National Park.

The source of the springs is a natural reservoir under the Chyulu Hills to the north. The Chyulu range is composed of volcanic lava rock and ash, which is too porous to allow rivers to flow. Instead, rain water percolates through the rocks and may spend 25 years underground before emerging 50 kilometres at Mzima.

The natural filtration process gives rise to Mzima’s famously clear stream, which flows through a series of pools and rapids. Mzima is one of Tsavo’s most popular attractions, owing to its resident population of hippos and Nile crocodiles. Return to the camp, freshen up and have lunch. Spend the rest of the afternoon enjoying the hotel facilities.

Dinner & Overnight at the Camp / Lodge.

Day 6: Tsavo West National Park - Tsavo East National Park

Depart after breakfast with a final game drive and proceed to the Tsavo East National Park. The park is one of the oldest and largest parks in Kenya. Situated in a semi-arid area, previously known as Taru Desert, it opened in 1948 and is located near the town of Voi in Taita Taveta County.

Tsavo East is generally flat, with dry plains and vast herds of dust-red elephants. It is also considered one of the world’s biodiversity strongholds due to the vast amount of wildlife and impressive land features such as the Galana River, Yatta Plateau and Lugard Falls.

Upon arrival at the camp, check-in and have lunch. Proceed to the park for an afternoon game drive with a visit to Aruba Dam. Return to the camp, freshen up and have dinner.

Dinner & Overnight at the Camp / Lodge.

Day 7: Tsavo East National Park

After breakfast, freshen up and have a morning game drive. Tsavo East is also known for its legendary tale of the Man-Eaters of Tsavo. The park forms the largest protected area in Kenya and is home to most of the larger mammals, the big five, pods of hippos, crocodiles and the prolific bird life featuring 500 recorded species. Return to the camp and have lunch. Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing.

Dinner & Overnight at the Camp / Lodge.
