Masai Mara Safari Package
3 Days & 2 NightsLamu is an archipelago of islands, the most famous of them being Lamu Island, which hosts Lamu Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Lamu Old Town in Lamu Island is Kenya’s continually inhabited town and was one of the original Swahili settlements along the East Africa Coast. It is believed to have been established in 1370, while some say it is over a millennium old.
The town has a rich history as seen in its amazing centuries-old architecture, ruins of ancient structures and the culture of the local people. There are no vehicles on the island, with donkeys and traditional dhows being the dominant form of transport.
You may opt to stroll along the white sandy beaches, explore the Swahili culture, have lunch in the dhows on the ocean as you visit the many islands making the archipelago, and enjoy the beautiful sunsets on Manda Island.
“Lamu is a place I would be interested in visiting again, it is top on my list. I went there with Michelle after our engagement and I remember taking the dhow to fish and cooking the fish right at the beach, it was remarkable.” — Former US President Barack Obama, 2015
