Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe Airport - Kampala

Meet and greet services at the airport and later transferred to the hotel. Check-in, freshen up and relax.

Dinner & Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 2: Kampala - Kibale National Park

Have breakfast, depart Kampala on a fascinating drive through papyrus swamps and thick jungle of the Nile Delta to Kibale National Park, just under the Ruwenzori Mountains. Afternoon guided walk in the crater lakes area of the park.

Have lunch at the lodge, a stunning location overlooking a dramatic crater lake and the fabled Mountains of the Moon.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking Kibale Forest National Park - Bwindi Forest National Park

After breakfast, begin the trek in search of chimpanzees and 10 primates including phoestes, red colobus, blues, red tailed and grey cheeked mangabey. The guide will ensure that you are well equipped with all the information about the primates, birdlife and the forest’s flora and fauna.

After lunch, proceed to Bwindi via Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will spot various wildlife including elephants and buffaloes, among others. This is the lushest highland rainforest on earth, filled with exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps.

Dinner & Overnight at the Lodge.

Day 4: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking & Community / Village Visit

Have breakfast, freshen up and start the trek at 8:00 am. Have a short briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry a rain jacket, drinking water, snacks and jungle boots. The guides will lead you inside the jungle to view the shy primates. Do not forget to carry your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare mountain gorillas, one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The tracking takes between 2 and 6 hours.

Spend the afternoon on a village walk. The Buhoma Village Walk is a great opportunity to see how people live in the surrounding Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The walk begins at the Buhoma Community Rest Camp and is a rewarding experience to the average visitor.

Dinner & Overnight at the Lodge.

Day 5: Bwindi Forest National Park - Kampala / Entebbe

Wake up to a scrumptious breakfast, freshen up and check-out. Return to Kampala. A short stopover for lunch. Proceed to Igongo Cultural Centre to learn about the Ankole and Bahima tribe. Thereafter, head for the Equator for your onward flight back home.

Flight Bwindi - Entebbe: Morning relaxation in Bwindi National Park. You can either choose the morning or afternoon flight to Entebbe.
